| This years run started off well, I didn't camp this year, but instead met up with Minis of Tamworth at Crystal Palace on the Sunday morning. Everything went well until I left the gates of Crystal Palace Park. As soon as I left the gates, the traffic jam began. After about an hour, when I first got the chance to drive at more than 5mph, I realised that the car was badly missfiring. I spent the rest of the journey to Brighton battling with this problem which turned out to be caused by the plugs sooting up due the choke not being adjusted properly. If only I'd have realised sooner! Luckily, the journey home was much smoother! Weather wasn't too bad, a bit of light rain, but nothing major. The problem was, I'd spent so long getting to Brighton that most others had already gone home by the time I got there :-( So all in all, this year wasn't the greatest run, but I still took a fair few photos for your viewing pleasure, so here they are... |

Minispeed mk1 - Click for a larger image A mk1 Mini, presumably a MiniSpeed car, as it was parked by their show stand. I really liked this one, this is the sort of look I hope to acheive with PJ eventually. I'm becoming more and more keen on 10" wheels :-) |
mk1 Rear - Click for a larger image The same mk1 from the rear. I want a mk1 rear light conversion and carbon fibre mk1 style boot lid for PJ! |

Unusual mk1 Grille - Click for a larger image This one caught my eye because of its mk1 grille with the slats colour coded with the car rather than chrome. Although it follows the theme of the BMW MINI Cooper S, I still like it ;-) |
Hot Rod!?! - Click for a larger image This mini had an induction mod more often associated with big American machinery! |

Nice Cabriolet - Click for a larger image This car had a foreign plate, I'm not sure where it was from, Belgium perhaps? But they had a pretty good turn out, presumably they were from the same club. This one caught my eye firstly because it's a convertible, but also because is de-seamed and has some unusual colour coding, like the headlamp rings for example. |
Super Shiny! - Click for a larger image This one looked really nice! I thought all the mods worked together really well, resulting in a great looking car. I'm sure I saw this car at the IMM too. |

Twinkle! - Click for a larger image I spotted Twinkle by the MiniWorld stand. For those of you that don't know, Twinkle is owned by Kay Drury from MiniWorld magazine and regularly appears in the magazine. |
THAT Mini - Click for a larger image That Honda Integra Type-R powered mini was at this years l2b. Looks quite innocent until you look under the bonnet! |

Forgery!?! - Click for a larger image Someone wasn't so keen on the presence of BMW MINI's at L2B 2003, so they went round sticking these leaflets under the windscreen wipers! |
