MOL's crash pictures

At 12:10pm on Saturday the 11th of May, I was involved in an accident whilst driving MOL. A woman driving an Astra estate was travelling in the other direction, towards me, and turned right, into a car-park. Unfortunately, she drove across my path a couple of metres in front of me, leaving me with no escape from driving straight into her. The astra estate that I hit got away with not much more than a dented door. MOL however, came out a bit worse off.

MOL's engine and subframe seem to be OK, but both wings, near-side inner wing, the bonnet, front panel, grille, bumper, headlights and near-side A-panel will need replacing, and the passenger door will need re-skinning and the whole lot re-spraying. I took some photos when I'd got MOL off the road at the crash scene...

After we'd hit, there was a really nasty noise, which turned out to be the slam panel bent into the alternator.

I couldn't steer properly because the offside wing was bent around the tyre.

I removed the bonnet and grille, so that I could bend the slam panel back away from the alternator

The A-panel moved back and knackered the near-side door

The crash tore the wing away from the windscreen scuttle.
